My Journey

August 5,2011- I received my S.O from SDS. Honestly I wasn't excited or sad about it because I didn't know anything about the place. I just prayed that God would help me carry-out the task he entrusted to me, so, I prayed fervently "LORD, THY will be done"

August 10, 2011 when we had the Thanksgiving Program in SMNHS. It was also the day i felt lonely for I gathered the pieces/parts of my puzzle - description of the place, my destination - PURAY ANNEX.

August 11, 2011 when we were sent off to our final destination but for me, not yet, because it wasnt Puray yet.

August 12, 2011 -  My 1st day in Puray. From house to TOTAL, San Rafael, I received texts from Mrs. Ancog and these made me cry. Why? because I gradually realized that I was left to nowhere. The way to Mascap was so unmotivating, surrendering, but again I prayed, "THY will be done."

I rode in my teacher's motorcycle in going to Puray. I didn't appreciate the beauty of nature, though I am a nature-lover, for what concerned me much was the deafening silence of the mountain; the deadening difficulty of the travel/road and the first-ever by-foot-crossing of the river. I reached the place with a physically-battered emotions.

The school was very basic- 5-room-Ynares building, no signal, no electricity. I was warmly welcomed by Mang Boy, school guard and I was touched by his remarks"Kayo po ba itong nakasulat dito?(pointing at the bulletin board with "WELCOME MRS. ESMALIA P. CABALANG) With a nod and a smile, he led me to the faculty area.

I met the other members of the faculty and the students whom i realized the reasons why i was assigned there.

LORD,THY WILL BE DONE

God has a purpose of your transfer in Puray.I believe that you will be of great help to the teachers and people of Puray because they have so much to learn from you.

  3. I remembered when I was starting...in places like that our "calling" as teacher will be magnified...Take it easy!
